On October 18, Yerevan will be hosting a round table devoted to the introduction of international financial reporting standards (IFRS) in Armenia.The round table will be held under “IFRS in Armenia-Global Trend or Perceived Need” headline, Mediamax was told in the Armenian-British IAB Centre training company.The round table will focus on the perspectives for the use of IFRS for Armenian Economy, the main challenges for the application of IFRS in Armenia, actions by Central Bank and state regulatory bodies of RA for IFRS implementation, the possible solutions to the issues related to IFRS and required further action plan for better IFRS transition. It’s also planned to discuss the prospect of establishing an independent Chamber of Accountants and Auditors of Armenia.The round table will be held in “Golden Tulip” hotel at 17:00 on October 18. The meeting agenda includes officials from state regulatory bodies of Armenia, representatives of Central Bank, donor organizations, experts from commercial banks, audit and accounting companies as well as professionals from higher educational institutions of Armenia.The round table is organized by \"Yerevan Productions\" in cooperation with IAB Centre.
