Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Minister of Economy Tigran Davtyan and head of the Yerevan Office of U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Jatinder Cheema signed two agreements in Yerevan today which will allow increasing the volume of assistance to Armenia by USD 8 310 000 and USD 8 791 720 respectively. The agreements “On Assistance to more Competitive and Diverse Private Sector” and “On Enhancing Effectiveness of Healthcare and Social Services” were signed between the U.S. and Armenian governments on August 6, 2010. The agreement envisages assistance to Armenian government to establish more competitive and diverse private sector as well as enhance the effectiveness of healthcare and social services.
