Yerevan/Mediamax/. In 2011, needy families in Armenia will get a state assistance in the amount of about AMD 1bln “so that they don’t feel the negative influence of the growth of prices for natural gas”.

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan said this at the session of the government today, Mediamax reports.

According to today’s decision of the Armenian government, at the expense of the profits gained by state companies the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Armenia will allocate AMD 184mln to “ArmRosgasprom” to compensate expenses for gas used to by needy families in April-June 2011.

“This is a serious social assistance to needy layers of the population,” the PM said, noting that the specified lists of needy families are provided by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
