Yerevan/Mediamax/. The negotiations on purchasing “Fresh” supermarkets by STAR trade chain are over. The deal needs to be confirmed by the State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition of the Republic of Armenia.

Executive Director of STAR trade chain Vahan Qerobyan said that purchasing “Fresh” supermarkets will enable STAR to increase sales volume as well as to reduce logistic, distribution and administrative expenses.

STAR is currently running 18 supermarkets: 17 of them are located in Yerevan and 1 in Hrazdan. “Fresh” chain of supermarkets is running 4 supermarkets under \'\'Fresh\'\' brand and 3 stores under \'\'Catherine\'\' brand in Yerevan.

STAR plans to open a new store in Davtashen administrative district of Yerevan in the nearest future.
