Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsian presented today the economic strategy of the government, which aims at overcoming the challenges of the post-crisis period. Mediamax reports that, speaking at the first Armenian-Russian Forum of Interregional Cooperation in Yerevan, Tigran Sargsian said that the leadership of the country singled out seven key packages of reforms, advancing the country towards innovative economy. The first package provides for introduction of state-industrial policy. “Diversification of economy, development of export is the basis for securing stable and during growth, stability and expansion of innovative potential”, Armenian Prime Minister said. Tigran Sargsian informed that last week the Armenian parliament approved the draft law on free economic zones, with the approval of which “unprecedented platforms for innovative growth will be created in the country”. The second package of reforms provides for development of agriculture by means of realizing the program of its modernization and increasing the volume of production, the Prime Minister said. “The third package of reforms is directed at formation of informational society. Armenia is traditionally considered a country with great potential in the sphere of information technologies. Even in the period of the crisis, this sphere registered two-digit growth. A deposit for consolidation of this growth is introduction of broadband internet in all corners of Armenia”, Tigran Sargsian said. Economic strategy of the Armenian government also provides for establishment of favorable conditions for business. Prime Minister Tigran Sargsian said that to this end a basic principle is being introduced in all spheres of business regulation: the rules should be simple, comprehensible and the same for all. “The fifth direction is related to large infrastructural projects: construction of the new nuclear power plant, roads, etc. The sixth package of reforms aims at improving the quality of life for our citizens”, Tigran Sargsian stated. Prime Minister presented the process of introduction of the new accumulative pension system, as well as the project of establishment of the new nuclear medicine center with the use of most advanced technologies for treatment of oncological diseases. “The seventh package of reforms aims at even development of territories. Without support of the government, many regions will not be able to enter a new level of development. We want to introduce a state-investment fund for regional development, basing on the experience of our Russian colleagues, and the means of the fund will be directed at realization of regional projects”, Tigran Sargsian stated.
