Yerevan/Mediamax/. “HayPost” portal operator has been providing services of postal brokers since 2010. Spokeswoman of the Customs Service of the State Revenue Committee Nelli Manucharyan stated in an interview to Mediamax today that DHL, FedEx and other similar services do not provide services of customs mediation, which are assigned for postal brokers. Nelli Manucharyan recalled that since February 5, amendments to the Customs Code have come into effect. According to those amendments, parcels, the cost of which does not exceed 150 thousand AMD, are except from customs duties. Earlier, this limit made 50 thousand AMD. “It is known what difficulties Armenian citizens face in the process of customs clearance for their parcels. The amendments provide for a number of serious reforms”, Nelli Manucharyan stated. Spokesman of “HayPost” Gevorg Abramyan stated in an interview to Mediamax that according to the legislative changes approved, each citizen has the right to receive parcels and wrappers at the cost of 150 thousand AMD twice a year free of charge. Gevorg Abramyan also informed that “HayPost” is in process of negotiations with the Customs Service on elaboration of the order of customs clearance for more expensive cargoes. Tweet Views 6275
