Yerevan/Mediamax/. MP from “Dashnaktsutiun” Party Ara Nranyan stated today that the actions of the Armenian government last year caused crisis and this year cause price growth.

Mediamax reports that Ara Nranyan stated that the actions of the Armenian government have only exacerbated the state of the citizens and the business environment.

“If the government states that the main reason of the inflation is the price growth for foodstuffs and other goods in international markets, in Armenia the influence on reduction of prices, that is, on reduction of profit of business subjects by means of reduction of consumer demand is absurd”, the MP stated.

According to him, the government suppresses the profit of citizens and the economic growth, reduces turnover means in the economy in order to struggle against price increase, while it should increase the incomes of the citizens and stimulate economic activity.

“In fact, the government, the Central Bank and the Committee for the Protection of Economic Competition have the entire information, however I would not say that their actions are sufficient for suppressing the price increase. The government should not put the entire blame on business entities or importers, and should deal with its direct duties by means of involving all interested sides”, Ara Nranyan stated.
