Yerevan/Mediamax/. Member of “Dashnaktsutiun” parliamentary faction Artsvik Minasyan believes that inflation deterrence model, functioning in Armenia, does not justify itself.

Mediamax reports that, speaking at a news conference in Yerevan today, he stated that this problem is related not only to the country’s economy system and the quality processes of its development, but also the policy, carried out by the government.

“According to the Constitution, the responsibility for inflation deterrence is on the Central Bank, however it is unable to carry out reforms in economy, which would lead to productive regulation of the level of prices”, he stated.

According to Artsvik Minasyan, price formation for the goods of first priority should be established on “NASDAQ OMX Armenia” Stock Exchange.

And concerning tariffs for gas, according to the MP, Armenia’s authorities are able to deter them, “if they want”.
