Yerevan/Mediamax/. All applications of Armenian tax-payers for receiving e-signatures for using the new tax billing system will be satisfied within 2 days, Assistant of the Director of E-Governance Infrastructure Implementation Unit (EKENG), Lilit Ghazarian, told Mediamax.

Commenting by Mediamax’s request on the reasons for delay of issuing e-signatures, because of which the tax billing was implemented manually, Lilit Kazarian Mediamax that the problems were technical and arose in December. Beginning January 10, the office began to issue 100-150 e-signatures every day.

“We have had 710 applications since December. Today, there are nearly 250 remaining but they will also be satisfied within 2 days. E-signature costs 15000 drams ,” Lilit Ghazarian stated.

“Today, the whole process of satisfaction of applications takes 15 minutes in case the applications are filled in correctly,” Lilit Ghazarian stated.

EKENG representative also informed that the e-signature is currently accepted only by tax bodies but in the future it will be acceptable for other spheres as well.
