Yerevan/Mediamax/. “ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank” became the exclusive issuer of American Express Gold cards in Armenia. Mediamax reports that, speaking at a joint news conference with the Vice-President of American Express Alex Farbar in Yerevan today, Chief Executive Officer of the Armenian bank Stepan Gishyan stated that issue of the cards is launched in accordance with the agreement, signed back on August 27, 2009. According to the agreement, the bank acquired the exclusive right to service AmEx cards on the territory of Armenia. Stepan Gishyan reminded that the bank launched service of AmEx cards in January, 2010, and now the card is accepted in the majority of trade and service outlets in Armenia, where the mechanism of cashless payment is implemented. According to Stepan Gishyan, AmEx Gold card is not only a plastic card, but it also includes numerous services, in particular, travel insurance and other special offers. The annual maintenance of the card costs 90 thousand AMD. The card includes a credit line with the annual interest rate of 18%, interest-free term of use of which reaches up to 50 days (till the 20th of the next month), which, according to Stepan Gishyan, “is an unprecedented offer in Armenia”.Alex Farbar in his turn stated that American Express sees a reliable partner in “ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank”, which provides high quality services, and it intends to continue working with the Armenian bank at exclusive terms.
