Yerevan/Mediamax/. Yerevan Brandy Company (YBC) intends to start export of “ArArAt” cognacs to China.

Mediamax reports that YBC CEO Ara Grigoryan said this at a news conference in Yerevan today, noting that now the company carries out active work in the given direction.

According to Ara Grigoryan, the largest market for sale of “ArArAt” cognacs now are Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, zones of duty free trade and Belarus.

Ara Grigoryan informed that last year the number of YBC markets of sale was replenished by Vietnam, where 3 thousand liters of cognac were exported. YBC CEO also informed that dynamic growth of “ArArAt” cognac sales is observed in the markets of Europe and the USA, expressing hope that these markets will enter the list of largest markets of sale for YBC in the nearest future.

The volume of YBC production made 2.8mln liters in 2009, 2.579mln liters of which were exported.
