Yerevan/Mediamax/. General Director of “Capital Asset Management” Investment Company Tigran Karapetyan expressed an opinion that in reforming pension funds of Armenia, one needs investment specialists with international experience. Mediamax reports that, answering the comments to his interview to Banks.am portal, Tigran Karapetyan shares the concern of the readers, according to which community of professional investment managers has not been formed in Armenia yet. “The best way to solve this task, according to me, is to attract foreign specialists with international experience. Of course, it will cost us quite expensive for them to “build” it, but this is the only way to provide for practical training of local specialists. “External” and “internal” forces should be combined at least during the first 5 years”, Tigran Karapetyan stated. Touching upon the risks of dispersion of the collected pension assets, he stated that the best way to avoid that is diversification of investments. “Theorists believe that if the savings are invested in 30 countries or financial tools”, these savings may only be influenced by global growth or crises”, Tigran Karapetyan stated, adding that if a citizen does not want his/her savings to be related to negative phenomena, characteristic to one country, he/she should choose a fund, the investment policy of which is directed to other markets, and in this case increase or reduction of savings will by no means related to that economy.
