Yerevan/Mediamax/. “HSBC Bank Armenia” received “Award for Excellence” from authoritative British “Euromoney” magazine as the “Best Bank of the Year” in Armenia for 2010.

Mediamax was informed in the press service of “HSBC Bank Armenia” that the award was announced at a gala dinner in London on July 8.

“We are delighted to see that HSBC’s commitment to Armenia is being recognized not only locally but also internationally”: said Astrid Clifford, CEO of HSBC Bank Armenia.

Euromoney, in its turn, declared HSBC an organization “that can call itself a truly global emerging markets bank, which can cater to its clients globally and holistically and in a much more efficient way than most of its rivals.”

Since 1991, Euromoney has been annually announcing “Awards of Excellence” for leaders of the spheres of banking, finance and investments in 100 countries worldwide. In order to define the winners, the magazine asks banks to send their annual reports and then polls their national and foreign partners.
