Yerevan/Mediamax/. “Apaga Technologies” Company is organizing a seminar on ISO 27000 Information Security Management Systems standards and certification for the governors and the IT managers of banks and companies representing financial sector in Yerevan today.

Mediamax reports that Michel Davoudian, CEO of Apaga Technologies stated that the Armenian Government’s decree to localize the ISO/IEC 27000 international standards and adopt them as national is opening a new page in the Information Security sphere of Armenia and is marking a new stage of development for Armenian banking and financial systems.

“ISO 27001 certification is a long process, but the organizations, especially the players in the banking and financial sectors, should realize what advantages they will achieve by complying with the standards and being certified.  The advantages, of course, are many, but I would emphasize a few of them: being differentiated from the competitors, strengthening the market positions, increase of trust, and new business opportunities – especially with foreign partners”, said Alexis Hirschhorn, Senior Information Security Auditor of Apaga Technologies.
