Yerevan/Mediamax/. Governmental “Affordable dwelling for young families” program “is not charity”. Mediamax reports that Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Arsen Karamyan said this today, commenting on critical statements addressed to the program. He stressed that the government does not hope that the program will become widely popular in 2010. “This is the pilot stage, when one tries to find out the demand and the offer in this sphere”, Arsen Karamyan stated. Referring to results of the survey carried out, the Deputy Minister noted that 375 young families purchased dwellings with the help of mortgage crediting in 2009. The survey also revealed that 71% of young families do not have problems with dwelling. The initial volume of “Affordable dwellings for young families” program will make 3bln AMD, which is meant for approximately 300 families. The maximum cost of an apartment within the framework of the given program cannot exceed 16bln AMD, and the maximum sum of the credit makes 70% of the apartment cost.--0-- Tweet Views 14380
