Yerevan /Mediamax/. International Finance Corporation (IFC) is helping Armenian banks to explore new opportunities of renewable energy and reduction of carbon dioxide burst to the atmosphere.

Mediamax was informed in IFC Yerevan office that twenty banks are to participate in the event, including long-term IFC clients already rolling out energy efficiency and renewable energy lending programs.

Regarding Ameriabank, IFC has recently provided a $15 million credit line, enabling the bank to provide long-term financing to build small hydropower plants.
