Yerevan /Mediamax/. Office of Armenian Financial System Ombudsman received 378 complaints in 2009, 70% of which were solved to the benefit of the customers. Mediamax reports that Financial Ombudsman Piruz Sargsian said this today, summing up the results of the first year of the Office’s activity. In the accounting period, they managed to compensate over 23mln AMD to customers. Speaking about plans for the year of 2010, Piruz Sargsian singled out realization of an international conference with the Central Bank of Armenia in April, in which financial Ombudsmen and their representatives from Great Britain, France, the Netherlands, as well as CIS, will participate. According to the member of the Financial System Ombudsman Office’s Board of Trustees Vakhtang Abramyan, the year of 2009 proved that “such an institute can efficiently function in our society”. He noted that such a structure functions only in Armenia among CIS countries. Today, Piruz Sargsian handed certificates for “Best cooperating financial organizations” over to “ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank”, “VTB Bank (Armenia)”, “Unibank”, “INGO Armenia” insurance company, “Express-Credit” credit organization and “Valkes” LLC pawnshop.
