Yerevan /Mediamax/. The volume of financial violations revealed in commercial organizations with the participation of the state made 800mln AMD in 2008, only 30mln of which was restored.

Mediamax reports that the Armenian Minister of Finance Tigran Davtyan said this at the session of the government today.

According to him, the number of commercial organizations with 50% and more participation of the state in them makes 493 at present. At that, control committees function only in 327 of them, at that the committees function on a paid basis in 125 enterprises.

The Minister noted that despite positive shifts in the work of control committees, the majority of their conclusions are formal, and the absolute majority of violations were revealed by committees, working on paid basis. According to Tigran Davtyan, the situation in the given sphere will be improved by including such enterprises in the field of compulsory audit.

Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsian stated that the government does not yet manage to properly realize its right for property in companies with its participation.

“Shortcomings are revealed almost in all enterprises with the participation of the state, and their control should become a subject of personal responsibility for Ministers, since control committees are accountable to them”, Tigran Sargsian stated.

He noted that if the ministries are not interested in this or that enterprise, the latter should be privatized.
