Yerevan /Mediamax/. “NASDAQ OMX Armenia” Stock Exchange and “Internews-Armenia” presented “Economy Coverage: Tutorial for Journalists” book in Yerevan today.

Mediamax reports that the book is elaborated following the results of the training program for Armenian journalists, who cover the economy subject area. The training program was held in September-November, 2008, by British “Irving International Limited” organization, provided support of the Embassy of Great Britain.

Speaking at the presentation, Executive Director of “Internews-Armenia” Nune Sargsian informed that the training program, which was attended by 20 journalists from Yerevan and Armenian regions, aimed at improving the quality of Armenian economy and business related journalism.

The tutorial is devoted to peculiarities of covering economy and business subject areas. It presents explanations concerning a number of important economic issues.

Chief Executive Officer of “NASDAQ OMX Armenia” Armen Melikyan expressed the readiness of the Stock Exchange to render assistance to journalists as to all issues of interest for them.
