Yerevan /Mediamax/. “HSBC Bank Armenia” introduced a new service of internet banking today. Mediamax reports that Chief Executive Officer of the bank Tim Slater noted at a news conference today that the service has been functioning since July 1 and already has 900 subscribers. He stressed that by the end of the year the number of service subscribers will reach 3000. Tim Slater noted that to implement this service, “HSBC Bank Armenia” has invested USD 2 million. According to him, internet banking provides customers with the opportunity to access and manage their accounts, while being abroad. As a result of implementing internet banking services, the number of the bank’s website visitors increase to average 15000 per month. Tim Slater noted that implementation of the new service is another stage in the bank’s development. He reminded that in 1996, “HSBC Bank Armenia” was the first bank to introduce a cash machine in Armenia, and later it was the first to provide telephone banking service. Tweet Views 13921
