Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian government approved today the report on state budget 2008 fulfillment.

Mediamax reports that the Minister of Finance of Armenia Tigran Davtyan stated at the session today that the revenue part of the budget made 785bln AMD (105%). According to the document, the expenditure part of the budget made 810bln AMD, which is for 10bln AMD less, as compared to the planned figure. The deficit of the state budget made 25.2bln AMD instead of the planned 76bln.

Tigran Davtyan informed that Armenia’s external debt in 2008 made $1.5bln, and the domestic one - $328mln. Minister of Finance stated that by May 1, 2009, the report on fulfillment of state budget will be presented to the consideration of the National Assembly of Armenia.

Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsian stated that the specific weight of the external and domestic debts are at a law level, and this will allow not attracting new means from external and domestic markets to fulfill the domestic expenditure liabilities.

The Prime Minister stated that the second half of 2009 will be hard for the Armenian economy, and “this is evidences by the statistic data on the state of the country’s economy”. “Our country feels all the negative tendencies of the global economy, in particular, the reduction of volumes of private investments and transfers”, Tigran Sargsian stated.

The Prime Minister stated that first of all the sphere of capital construction suffers, and this is why the leadership of the country put forward the initiative on providing state guarantees to creditors.
