Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian government would better not take up crediting and provision of state guarantees to the private sector, Rector of the Academy of National Economy under RF Government Vladimir Mau stated in an interview to Mediamax.

Vladimir Mau said this, commenting on the crisis prevention measures of the Armenian government.

“The government may take up such steps only given very transparent conditions and under strict public control, but it would better not take up such measures at all”, Vladimir Mau stated.

He also expressed opinion that Armenia should have devaluated its national currency earlier. According to Mau, for Armenia it is more expedient and simpler to constantly carry out national currency floating exchange rate policy.
