Listed companies may gain tax benefits if they meet a number of conditions

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Deputy Minister of Finance of Armenia Suren Kazaryan presented to the consideration of the Standing
Parliamentary Commission on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs today a package of draft laws on making amendments to laws on “Value Added Tax” and on “Profit Tax”.

As Mediamax was told in the press service of the parliament, the amendments imply that by the end of 2012, companies, quoted in the Stock Exchange, while paying profit tax, will enjoy 50% benefit in case they meet the following conditions:

- 20 and more % of the issuer’s shares belong to the society;

- the number of shareholders makes 100 or more;

- the issuer is guided by international standards of financial reporting.

The draft laws will be considered at the nearest session of the parliament.
