Yerevan /Mediamax/. After 1.2% growth of consumer prices in January, 2009, 1.8% decline is registered in Armenia in February. As Mediamax was told in the National Statistical Service of Armenia, at that, in February, as compared to January, the prices for foodstuffs and non-foods cut down by 3.3% and 0.9% respectively, and the tariffs for services – by 0.2%. Index of consumer prices in February cut down as compared to December, 2008, by 0.7%, at that the prices for foodstuffs and non-foods cut down respectively for 0.6% and 2.2%, and the tariffs remained unchanged. In January-February, 2009, as compared to the analogous period of 2008, the index of consumer prices in Armenia grew for 2.5%, at that the prices for foodstuffs and non-foods cut down by 0.2% and 2.3% respectively, and the tariffs for services increased for 10.1%. According to the data of the Statistical Service, 3.3% decline in prices for foodstuffs in February is conditioned mainly by reduction of prices for vegetables, fruits, vegetable oil and butter, as well as for bakery products. At the same time, reduction of tariffs in February is conditioned mainly by decline of prices for air tickets for 5.9%. In February, 2009, as compared to January, the prices for petrol and diesel fuel cut down respectively by 3.3% and 3.7%. As compared to the beginning of the year, prices for petrol and diesel fuel cut down respectively by 12.4% and 13.8%. Tweet Views 11739
