Yerevan /Mediamax/. “Valletta” Company repaid the first tranche of corporate coupon bonds. Mediamax reports that Financial Director of the Company Armen Berberyan said this at a news conference in Yerevan today. The total volume of the issue made 350mln AMD, nominal value – 50 000 AMD, quantity – 7000, annual coupon yield – 10.5%, repayment term – 18 months. Armen Berberyan noted that the bonds secured 20-25% yield for active investors. Director Investment Department of “Armswissbank”, which is the underwriter and the market-maker of “Valletta” Company’s issue, Karen Turyan informed that the volume of deals with “Valletta” bonds in the secondary market made 770mln AMD, which for over twice exceeds the volume of the issue.Karen Turyan noted that the volume of purchase and sale deals of the given issue’s bonds before listing on the Exchange made 80.5mln AMD, after listing – 448.7mln AMD, the volume of REPO deals with bonds – 282.6mln AMD, average value of Exchange deals with bonds – 10.51%. Director of Deposit Department of “Armswissbank” also informed that the total Exchange circulation of all three issues of “Valletta” in 2008 made 758mln 214 thousand AMD, which makes 33.7% of the total volume of exchange circulation of bonds. Financial Director of “Valletta” Armen Berberyan noted the “excellent infrastructure” of the capital market of Armenia, adding that at present the company is considering the opportunity of a new issue of corporate bonds.
