Yerevan /Mediamax/. Minister of Science and Education of Armenia Spartak Seyranyan got familiar today to the educational labs on chemistry and physics in Yerevan specialized school on physics and mathematics after A. Shahinyan, founded by “AYB” Educational Foundation.

Mediamax reports that the Program Director of the Foundation David Sahakyan stated at the presentation of the laboratory that “AYB” sees opportunities for its cooperation with the Ministry in spreading the practice of “AybLab” on establishing modern specialized laboratories in secondary schools of the country.

David Sahakyan stated that “AybLab” model is elaborated by Foundation specialists basing on studying the experience of the former Soviet Union, as well as the best schools abroad. According to him, “AybLab” allows making the “boring disciplines” more interest and increasing the interest of the students towards sciences. At present, “AYB” actively cooperates with Yerevan school after A. Chekhov and the gymnasium after A. Shirakatsi.

In his turn, the Minister of Science and Education of Armenia Spartak Seyranyan stated that his establishment should create conditions to apply the model of “AybLab” in the majority of Armenian schools. According to him, the focus should be on high schools. The Minister informed that in the nearest future about 150 high schools will start functioning in Armenia and the presence of such laboratories in those schools will allow increasing the quality and the level of education.

At that, Spartak Seyranyan expressed confidence that if there is political will and determination, “the financial part of the issue will be of secondary importance”.
