October 31 is recognized as World Savings Day on the financial calendar. To celebrate, Idram Junior hosted 25 participants from the Koreez 2024 “Junius” financial literacy competition, all aged 10 to 14.

During the event, the young participants learned about the history of World Savings Day and received important information about the value of saving.

According to Tatevik Vardevanyan, head of the Communication and SR Department of IDBank and Idram, customer literacy is a top priority. The companies have committed to promoting financial education in Armenia as part of their social responsibility initiatives:

“In this context, we see children’s financial literacy as especially important. Idram and IDBank have long been implementing various educational programs focused on this area. Today, in celebration of World Savings Day, we engaged with the children in another important conversation about finance, management, saving, and budgeting.”

The funniest part of the event was the children’s favorite friend, Junior, who hosted an engaging intellectual game focused on the day’s key topics: budgeting and savings. The winners of the competition were awarded prizes.

IDBank also celebrated Savings Day by launching a “Deposit Campaign” aimed at encouraging customers to save. During this event, customers were informed about the campaign’s details at all branches. From October 31, customers who make a deposit of AMD 400,000 or more at any branch or through the Idram&IDBank app will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win one of five iPhone 16 Pro phones. Additionally, for deposits made as “Without the right to replenish,” customers will receive a special annual interest rate of up to 10.1%. You can find the details here.

The companies remind that one of the main focuses of Idram’s social programs is financial education, with over 30 million drams allocated to this initiative in 2024 alone. Among the various programs and events is the “Junius” financial education game, developed in collaboration with the Koreez educational program. This game allows children to explore the world of finance in an age-appropriate way and is available in the Idram Junior app.
