Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan stated in Yerevan today that there are no perquisites for recession in Armenian economy. Mediamax reports that, speaking at a news conference in Yerevan today following the results of 2008, Nerses Yeritsyan stated that November 30% reduction of the GDP was main conditioned by the decline of seasonal activity in agriculture. According to the Minister, the problems of the mineral recourse and chemical industries also affected the decline in speeds of economic growth, “however the growth of our economy mainly depends on the internal demand and the decline in the given spheres is not of key importance”. “The state takes all the necessary measures to diversify Armenian economy”, Nerses Yeritsyan stated, adding that Armenia will overcome the consequences of the crisis by means of developing small and medium enterprise (SME) and realizing large infrastructure projects.
