Yerevan /Mediamax/. “ProCredit Bank”, jointly with the Embassy of Germany in Armenia##, organized a meeting with the members of the Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs of Armenia (UMEA) in Yerevan today. Mediamax reports that, speaking at the meeting, General Director of the Bank Bertolt Hertzfeldt stated that the meeting aims at establishing a dialogue between the bank and Armenian business, stressing the bank’s orientation for funding small and medium enterprise, as well as families with medium and low income. Ambassador of Germany to Armenia Andrea Victorin, who was present at the meeting, also noted that “ProCredit” is especially suitable for funding beginner enterprises.“Armenian entrepreneurs do not hope that banks with foreign capital will change the quality of banking services in Armenia”, Chairman of the Union of Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs of Armenia (UMEA) Arsen Kazaryan stated, commenting on the fact that the majority of invited businessmen did not attend today’s meeting. “There are banks with French, British, Russian, Lebanese, Iranian and German capital in Armenia, however the policy and the services of those banks do not differ at all from the Armenian ones, and the difference in interest rates is insignificant”, Arsen Kazaryan stated.
