Yerevan /Mediamax/. The credit portfolio of the commercial banks of Armenia as of May 31 of 2008## made 523 211mln drams, having increased for 21 357mln drams, as compared to April.

As Mediamax was told in the National Statistical Service of Armenia today, the volume of credits, provided by banks in foreign currency, as of May 31 made 201 170mln drams, and in national currency – 322 041mln drams.

As of April 30 of 2008, the number of customers of Armenian commercial banks made 987 872, having increased for 16 745 people, as compared to March of 2008. 47 266 from the total number of the customers represent legal entities, 940 606 – individuals.

As of April 30 of 2008, in Armenian banks 1 180 913 bank accounts functioned, having increased for 21 606, as compared to March of 2008.
