Yerevan /Mediamax/. This year Armenian businessmen single out two main obstacles## along the path of expanding their business: the lack of long-term funding and bureaucratic obstacles. As Mediamax was told in Marketing Department of “Grant Thornton Amyot” Company, according to the final international business-report of “Grant Thornton International”, 35% of representatives of Armenia’s private sector are concerned by the lack of long-term funding and 28% - by bureaucratic obstacles. In 2007, the indices made correspondingly 38% and 23%. This year, 14% of the polled Armenian businessmen are concerned by the decrease of demand for products and services. Last year, the given index made 10%. The tendency towards decrease of demand is registered globally as well – in 2007, the given problem concerned 29% of the polled, and this year the index already made 31%. Globally, the main obstacle on the way of expanding business is the lack of professional labor force: this year 37% of the polled center their attention on this problem, as opposed to 34% in 2007. It is notable that in the issue of attracting professional specialists, Armenian companies oppose the world tendencies, demonstrating more encouraging indices.
