“Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has held a meeting with former Russian Ambassador to Ukraine, former Russian Minister of Health and Social Affairs, businessman Mikhail Zurabov,” The Armenian government’s press service announced on March 16.The press service’s announcement also says that “the Prime Minister underlined the importance of attracting foreign investments into Armenian economy” and Mikhail Zurabov “presented investment projects he plans to realize in Armenia.”The announcement did not clarify what investment project Pashinyan and Zurabov discussed.It is safe to assume that they concerned the Zangezur Copper Molybdenum Combine.Previously, Hetq.am reported that Zurabov, who represents Moscow Joint-Stock Insurance Company, purchased 12.5% of the shares in the combine on 3 February 2020.Mikhail Zurabov could be interested in other mining projects in Armenia as well.
