Yerevan /Mediamax/. Net operating revenue of “VimpelCom” in Armenia in the I quarter of 2008 made $59.1mln##.

Mediamax reports that the given data are brought in the financial reports of “VimpelCom” OJSC for the I quarter, published on June 4.

“VimpelCom” owns 100% of “ArmenTel” Company’s shares, which provides in Armenia services of fixed and mobile connection under Beeline brand.

$22.9mln of income to “ArmenTel” revenue secured by mobile connection, $36.2mln - by the fixed connection.

As compared to the I quarter of 2007, the net operating revenue of “ArmenTel” grew for 9.2%, as compared to the IV quarter of 2007 - decreased for 1.2%.

The number of active mobile subscribers of Beeline in Armenia in the I quarter of 2008 made 520 thousand people, having increased as compared to the I quarter of 2007 (440 thousand active subscribers) for 18.2%. As compared to the IV quarter of 2007, (442 thousand active subscribers) the number of active subscribers of Beeline increased for 17.6%.

Beeline’s share of mobile connection market in Armenia in the I quarter of 2008 made 26.9%, and in the I quarter of 2007 the given index made 37.3%.

In the I quarter of 2008, the ARPU of Beeline made $16.1, having decreased as compared to the IV quarter of 2007 (ARPU - $17.4) for 7.5%.--0--
