Central Bank of Armenia has issued 2 new collector coins, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of birth of composer Arno Babajanyan and the 675th anniversary of birth of thrice greatest Archimandrite of the Armenian Church Grigor Tatevatsi.The obverse side of the Arno Babajanyan coin depicts a wedding couple, a treble clef, as well as a stylized rose and vinyl, and the reverse depicts Arno Babajanyan’s portrait, stylized images of vinyl, piano keys, notes and a pen.The coin was designed by Vardan Vardanyan.The obverse side of the Grigor Tatevatsi coin depicts the Tatev Monastery, and the reverse depicts the bas-relief of Tatevatsi on the wall of the Armenian Church of the Holy Transfiguration of the Armenian Diocese in New Nakhijevan and in Moscow.The coin was designed by Karapet Abrahamyan and Lusine Lalayan.Both coins were minted in the Lithuanian Mint.
