Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian President Serzh Sarkisian harshly criticized## the leadership of the State Customs Committee, urging it “to secure equal conditions for all”. Mediamax reports that on April 17, the President held a working meeting with the leaders of the State Customs Committee. Serzh Sarkisian noted that, together with positive phenomena in the customs system, corruption, protectionism, arrogant attitude also blossom, which hinder the economic development and cause the fair anger of people, who deal with the given structure. “In our country, there cannot be persons or structures, which will have opportunity to put pressure on customs bodies, or get involved in smuggling”, Serzh Sarkisian stressed. Armenian President urged the leaders of the Customs to carry out strict struggle against fake customs documents. “Many of you know who particularly is involved in this, but you do not take up any measures”, the President stressed. Serzh Sarkisian demanded from the leadership of customs bodies to pay special attention to the problem of temporary importation. The next problem, which the President paid attention to, concerned the so-called control prices. According to the President, the customs bodies do not have the right to act however they want and change the given prices once a week. “All the control prices should be presented at the website of the Customs Committee, and any person, who deals in business sphere, at any moment should have the opportunity to get acquainted with the given prices”, Serzh Sarkisian stressed. Summing up, the Armenian President stressed:“We should take the path of self-purification. It is necessary to increase the quality of the provided services. The customs system with its work has to assist the development of business, improvement of the atmosphere and entrepreneurship. We should live in a normal country, where one can freely get involved in entrepreneurship. All the research shows that first of all the small and medium enterprises face difficulties; large entrepreneurs do not have problems in Armenia, especially with the customs system. What does this tell you? I repeat that there should be no privileges. Equal conditions should be established for all. This is your priority task”. Tweet Views 5827
