Yerevan, December 25 /Mediamax/. The Armenian Central Bank published the indices of the business-atmosphere, economic activity and consumer confidence for the fourth quarter of 2007.

As Mediamax was in the CB press service, in the fourth quarter the index of the business-atmosphere made 46,9, the index of the economic activity - 54,4, and the index of consumer confidence - 48,6.

The indices are calculated by means of a survey, which is carried out with the participation of 844 organizations in the sphere of industry, construction and services, as well as among the 2961 households in Yerevan and the regions of the republic.

If the index exceeds the point of 50, it demonstrates positive trend, if the index is below 50, negative trend, 50 - standing state.

The ratio balance of the responses with the corresponding indices of the basis period allow getting the final indices, which, in the fourth quarter of 2007, as compared to the third quarter, make 92,1% - the index of the business-atmosphere, 84,3% - economic activity, 96,5% - consumer confidence.

In the third quarter of 2007, the business-atmosphere index made 50,9, the economic activity – 69,2, the consumer confidence index – 52,4.
