Yerevan, November 15 /Mediamax/. Yerevan, November 15. /Mediamax/. The Russian MTS mobile operator is not holding talks on purchasing the fixed connection of “ArmenTel” telecommunication operator, which belongs to the Russian “VimpelCom” Company.

Spokesman of MTS Irina Osadchaya told Mediamax about this today, commenting on the publications of Armenian media, according to which the Russian operator, which is the owner of the Armenian VivaCell operator, is holding talks with “VimpelCom” on purchasing the fixed connection business of “ArmenTel” CJSC.

Answering Mediamax’s question, the press service of “VimpelCom” OJSC also refuted the statements, according to which the Company intends to cell the fixed telephone business of “ArmenTel”.
