Yerevan, November 13 /Mediamax/. Chairman of the Netherlands Bank Nout Wellink stated in Yerevan today that the government and the Armenian Central Bank are full of determination to make the republic the regional financial center.

Mediamax reports that, speaking at a news conference following the results of his visit to Yerevan today, Nout Wellink stated that there are the necessary conditions for that in the country - “very good” economic indices, low level of increase of prices, as compared to the neighbors in the region and the small deficit of the budget, as well as the stably developing banking system.

“You do much more, than I knew before the visit to Armenia”, Head of Netherlands Bank stressed.

According to the Chairman of the Armenian CB Tigran Sarkisian, the basic principles discussion of the conception of making Armenia the regional financial center implies the provision of financial services and products, which will be interesting for the neighbors in the region.

Within the framework of the visit to Yerevan, Nout Wellink met with the President and the Prime Minister of Armenia, made a speech for the students of Yerevan State University and Yerevan Institute of National Economy, held a meeting with the management of “HayPost” Company.
