Yerevan, May 3 /Mediamax/. The Board of the Central Bank of Armenia left unchanged the refinancing rate of CB, establishing it at the level of 4.5%.

As Mediamax was told in the press service of the Central Bank, in April 2007, there was a 0.1% inflation registered, as compared to March. Thus, the inflation index for the period of the year made 4.2% - one percent point lower, as compared to the same index of the beginning of the year.

Having discussed the macroeconomic developments, marked in the first quarter of 2007, and taking into account the low level of inflation in April, the CB Board confirmed that, as compared to 2006, the external inflation pressures remain mild and the developments of the aggregate demand do not bear additional inflation threats.
