The National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) marks improvement of situation of capitalization of the country’s banking sector, based on the results of the first quarter of 2007.

Mediamax reports referring Trend that, as of April 1, the capital of 25 Azerbaijani banks is formed within the limits of 5mln-10mln manats. In 15 banks, the capital exceeds 10mln manats.

According to the normative requirement of the NBA to the aggregate volume, as of January 1 of 2007, the banks should have formed it at the level of 8,2mln manats, and make it reach 10mln manats by July 1.

The aggregate volume of the capital of the 44 banks, functioning in the country, made 669,9mln manats, having increased for 11%, as compared to the beginning of the year.
