Fitch Ratings international agency will rate Yerevan in the sphere of public finance.

Yerevan Municipality informed that the corresponding agreement has been signed today by Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan and Dmitry Surkov, Regional Head of Russia/CIS and Black Sea Region at Fitch Ratings.

According to Taron Margaryan, the agency’s rating will allow Yerevan to step on the world financial map and receive expert evaluation of public finance management and current risks from renowned organizations.

Fitch Ratings representative assured that the collaboration will take a practical turn in the nearest future.

“A rating in the sphere of public finance will make Yerevan visible for the users of the global financial map, which will allow concerned agencies and organizations to have a clear view on Yerevan’s level of development, financial management system and city economy,” the Municipality stated.
