Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received members of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan today.“We joined the Eurasian Economic Union, based on our economic interests and the interests of our citizens. It is important that decisions are tangible for business environment, customers and customer service of each product. In order to achieve that, the most important issue is the elimination of technical barriers that prevent the free movement of goods and services”, said the Armenian President.Serzh Sargsyan asked the Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Karim Massimov to present if there is an overall consensus on the issues of the agenda, and what results are expected from this meeting.“We have a working day ahead of us, during which we are planning on discussing issues related to the further development of the Eurasian Economic Union. A day before the Presidents’ meeting we will try to discuss and remove the majority of issues from the agenda, to present only major strategic issues for further development during the high-level discussion”, said Karim Massimov.In terms of Eurasian Economic Union member states’ sustainable economic development, Armenian President stressed the importance of security component and, from that perspective, presented the latest developments in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
