NKR Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan said today that NKR economy suffered direct and indirect losses due to military actions unleashed by Azerbaijan on the night of April 1 and later.

The Prime Minister stated this at the meeting with journalist, noticing that the direct loss makes AMD 400-500 million (around $ 1 mln).

Artsakh government will be able to estimate the indirect losses at the end of the year by social-economic statistics.

Arayik Harutyunyan observed that indirect losses will be bigger, as blows to the economy don’t affect it immediately.

“Estimation of the indirect losses is also connected to the further behavior of investments. What happened will have great effect on SMEs, as well as agriculture sphere where much work wasn’t done in time,” said he.

The Prime Minister noted that although certain economic objects were damaged due to the military actions, they were reconstructed, and economic objects in Artsakh returned to the routine work since April 5.
