Yerevan, December 13 /Mediamax/. The Armenian Central Bank published today the indices of the business-atmosphere, economic activity and consumer confidence for the fourth quarter of 2006.

As Mediamax was in the CB press service, in the fourth quarter the index of the business-atmosphere made 47,8, the index of the economic activity - 64,5, and the index of consumer confidence - 50,3.

The indices are calculated by means of a survey, which is carried out with the participation of 800 organizations in the sphere of industry, construction and services, as well as among the 2621 households in Yerevan and the regions of the republic.

If the index exceeds the point of 50, the activity is high, if the index is below 50, the activity is considered to be low, 50 - standing state.

The ratio balance of the responses with the corresponding indices of the basis period allow getting the final indices, which in the fourth quarter, as compared to the third quarter, make 90% - the index of the business-atmosphere, 86,7% - economic activity, 100% - consumer confidence.

In the third quarter of 2006, the business-atmosphere index made 53,1, the economic activity – 74,5, the consumer confidence index – 50,3.
