Small Business Support (SBS) team of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) organised Business Diagnostics training in May 20-22. 14 specialists participated in the course.Business Diagnostics is the forth in the six Grow Your Consulting Business (GYCB) training series.Local consultants and management professionals participated in three-day training. The training was conducted by Samvel Gevorgyan, president of the Institute of Management Consulting in Armenia (IMC Armenia) and Marina Poghosyan, board member of IMC Armenia.“EBRD highlights the importance of the development of local consultancy industry in the framework of SBS market development activities financed by the European Union. For this purpose we developed and since 2012 implement the Grow Your Consulting Business training series comprised of six courses. GYCB as a whole and this forth course carried out in 20-22nd of May in particular encourages the participation of regional and especially women consultants”, - mentioned Mr. Tigran Aghabekyan, National Programme Manager of the SBS Armenia in his interview with Banks.am, highlighting that eight of 14 participants are women.“One of the participants of the training, Ms. Asya Galstyan, is from Gyumri. She participated in all four courses. She successfully applies all the knowledge and skills developed with the help of the trainings in her daily work, being an SBS consultant qualified for implementing Information and communications technology projects”, - continued Mr. Aghabekyan.“My company operates in Shirak marz, working mainly with small and medium businesses. We develop and install management information systems. This training was of particular importance for me which could help me understand which operation of the company is subject to automation, which can be done through proper business diagnostics. Overall my impressions of the training are just excellent. We got new knowledge and clear-cut answers to our concerns, as well as we mastered new tools. Our intent is to implement these tools in our daily work and communication with the clients”, - mentioned Ms. Asya Galstyan.One of the trainers of the course, Ms. Marina Poghosyan noted that the training participants were introduced the latest trends and tools internationally accepted in the field of business diagnostics.“When management consultant enters a company to solve its issues, he first need to understand the issue. Implementation of diagnostics is necessary for this purpose. During the training we invited real clients, for the consultants to have an opportunity to apply their skills. This opportunity was highly welcomed by the consultants. And during the second day we organised a Skype-call with Mr. Tim Powell, the president of an American management research and consulting company – The Knowledge Agency, which operates in New York. Mr. Powell shared his experience and skills in the field of business diagnostics.
