SME DNC of Armenia and WWF-Armenia will support the diversification of income opportunities for the village of Tatev and neighboring communities of Tandzatap and Svarants.

A Memorandum of Understanding on the start of cooperation between two organizations was signed today.

In the framework of the USAID funded Partnerships for Rural Prosperity (USAID/PRP) program, SMEDNC of Armenia provide a comprehensive product marketing consultancy for producer groups of the villages and sector-specific training for the producers. Also SME DNC, in the framework of USAID/PRP will provide financial support via loan guarantees and small grants (in a form of equipment) to selected producers of Tatev cluster.

In the framework of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development and WWF-Germany funded The Establishment of Community-based Models for Biodiversity Protection in Ecological Corridors in the Southern Caucasus (Armenia) project, WWF-Armenia will construct a collection point in Tatev cluster and supply it with supplementary equipment for drying, packaging and storing of locally made products.

Besides, WWF-Armenia will provide development of tourist small infrastructure, for instance, information boards, trails’ signs etc.
