Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili will pay a visit to Samtskhe-Javakheti today and will thus open the program on the presentation of the economic potential of the country’s regions. The Georgian PM will hold a meeting with businessmen in Akhaltsikhe, the correspondent of Mediamax reports. At the assignment of the PM, the potential of Georgian cities and regions was studied and the government is going to render maximum support for local production and business development. According to sources in Georgian government, with the support of the World Bank around USD 30 million alone will be allocated for the development of the tourist potential of Samtskhe-Javakheti in 2015.14 programs, including the rehabilitation of Akhalkalaki Fortress, cultural heritage monuments and internal highways have already been approved.Over GEL 22 million was spent on infrastructure projects in the region in 2014.
