Citizens of Armenia which became a member of Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) from January 2 will de facto have the same rights for work as Russian ones.RIA Novosti reports this referring to the Russian government. “Besides being relieved of mandatory migration registration within 30 days based on bilateral Armenian-Russian Agreement, Armenian citizens will de facto have similar labor rights as Russian ones. Therefore, employers have the right to employ Armenian citizens without restrictions on national labor market protection”, the Russian government noted. Thus, Armenian workers won’t need work permit for employment in Russia.Social security (other than retirement) of the works will be carried out on the same terms and in similar order as for Russian citizens. In accord with the labor law of the state, the professional length of service of workers will be included in the total length of service for social security purposes besides the retirement. Retirement security of employees from Armenia and their family members will be regulated by the laws of the state of permanent residence and in accord with particular international contract among EEU member states.
