Yerevan, July 25 /Mediamax/. The Russian MTS mobile operator, making part of AFK “Sistema” Holding, refuses to comment on the reports that the winners of the tender for the sale of the Armenian telecommunications company ArmenTel have already become known. “We are not commenting on anything before the official endorsement of the results of the tender. We won’t comment on the rumors either. It’s better to ask the organizers when the tender ends,” MTS spokesman Kiril Alyavdin said in the interview with Mediamax. On July 24, the Russian ComNews internet edition reported that the owners of 90% share of the Armenian telecommunications operator ArmenTel will be the Russian AFK “Sistema” Holding and the international consortium, set up by Indian VTEL Holdings and Knightsbridge Associates. According to ComNews, the Russian company will manage ArmenTel’s fixed telephone business, whereas the international consortium - the mobile one. Tweet Views 9188
