The winners of “Cleantech Business Ideas Competition” program have been named.

“EcoTechnology, “SolVar Systems”, “Nano Hay” and “Am-Eska” received USD 10.000 each to develop the prototype of their technologies.

“EcoTechnology” was named national winner. On November 12-13, the company will take part in the annual and global business forum in Silicon Valley and present its business models to venture funds, investors and cleantech experts.

“Bitlis-Men” and “Renewable Energy Research Team” received a promotional funding to the tune of USD 5000 each.

Below we present in brief the projects of the four main winners.

EcoTechnology, Yerevan

Effective use of irrigation water

The company offers new generation aqua-source substance which has unique capability to absorb the humidity and retain it. 1g of serum can absorb and keep a substance which is the 300-350-fold of its own weight. It also saves the 50-60% of irrigation water, reduces application of fertilizers for up to 40%, enhances soil structure, ensures water discharge and air saturation, increases harvesting for up to 80%, and the products preserve their qualitative properties for up to seven years in the soil. It will help agriculturists to cut on the product price and increase their profit.

SolVar Systems, Yerevan

Solar energy of practical significance

The company has developed a new and highly productive sunbeam planar concentrator at a low price. It has a number of advantages compared to current parabolic and lens concentrators.

This technology can be successfully used to concentrate sun rays to convert to electric or thermal energy. It’s a virtually new approach in solar technologies. Its application will allow suing solar energy and making it more affordable compared to traditional energy sources.

Carafe or carafe electronics

In principle, a unique Nano-technology unique in its type has been developed. It provides a chance to get high-quality carafe Nano-powder as well as big-size carafe Nano-structures on any solid material. These new carafe structures and Nano-powder have high-quality and big sizes. The technology allows mass production of unique carafe Nano structures and Nano-powder without applying technologically complicated equipment and toxic chemicals. Such products can be used in various household goods, solar panels, lasers, transistors, chips, etc.

Processing used tires through pyrolysis

The company is engaged in processing and neutralization of 4th degree dangerous and used tires serving as wastes, thus solving a great environmental issue. The team produces crude oil through pyrolysis and produces diesel oil. The process is carried out by modern conveyors which almost lack harmful emissions. The company mainly targets at organizations using diesel oil that will be offered quality diesel oil meeting the standards.
